Happy People Make Me Happy

When I was younger, my mom told me that smiling is contagious and it can have the power to change the course of a strangers day. I didn’t realise how true that was until I got older. Whenever I’m having a bad day or just can’t get my mind in the right place, I like to go wander and think. So often, I see moments of pure happiness around me or receive a smile and my mind starts to feel at ease. It can be something as simple as a couple of friends having a laugh over coffee, a dog chasing birds, or a child having a lolly. As I’ve learned to appreciate the little things, it’s given them the power to change the course of my day. So many people have unknowingly had a positive effect on me, so when I see someone who looks down, I try my best to smile to add even the smallest of kindness into their day. When you are out and about, try to share a smile or two. It could have more of an affect on someone than you might think.
